Built on Real Experience
JoAnn Takasaki founded Ledger Balanced on a straightforward premise: business owners make great bookkeepers. She knows what a file looks like when it's actually ready for review — because she's been on both sides of it.
JoAnn is a serial entrepreneur with experience working with small to medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries. She's run a marketing communications agency with numerous subcontractors, a 124-unit real estate partnership across four complexes, and a technology consulting firm she co-founded. For each, she set up and managed the books herself. As her companies grew larger and more complex, she graduated from Quicken to QuickBooks.
She is certified in the two most popular accounting software applications: QuickBooks and Xero. But it's her attention to detail, collaborative approach, and ability to problem solve while balancing a strategic focus with operational execution that makes her an ideal bookkeeping partner to CPA firms.
